Today was really tiring. Since the past few days, all we did was shop at nearby malls and spend money -_-. We decided to do something a little different this time since its also our last day here, so we the taxi drove us a 30 minutes ride to some recommended garden forest thingyy. Its like Bukit Lawang except you don't need to spent 2 hours driving like what we did last time -_-.
The place is HUGE and the scenery is amazing. Forest cluttered around with brownish orangey leaves surrounds everywhere, it'd be pleasant if only the heat wasn't so torturing. What we did first was go to their CanopyWalkway something like that area. I didn't really like that since actually had to climb up a 1 kilometer track pathway. The worst thing is that the pathway is heading upwards and walking upwards without stairs is tiring. Also, whoever created the unstable slippery stairways protected with roots from trees should consider flattening the stairs in a really nice shape so that wimpy kids like me wouldn't have to bent down, squat down and control my balance.
well, really, after that very exhausting 1 km trek with the scorching sun, i found out that the canopy walkway was actually long bridges which we have to cross obviously. And man, the sight of those bridges was enough to make my heart thud furiously like what the heck?! They're so narrow that only a person could fit in one at a time and gosh, its like so weak it could snap off any moment. NETS are supporting them, really. Like those kind used in soccer nets or maybe stronger whatever. and whenever someone makes a step, it wobbles so you have to grab hold of the teeny rope provided.
Huh, they lack thoughtfulness. Ever heard of this height phobia thing? don't know what its called but i have it and so does zillion of people out there. Are you really going to let us people cross that? I mean you could basically see the faaaaar ground under the nets! Ok, i have to admit there are actually tears in my eyes as i stoned myself staring forward not trying to look down. ugh. so, in conclusion, we climbed up a loooong tiring distance just to experience something i fear? buuuh.
Then, we went aaaall the way down and back to the main gate after a few stops at pretty areas to teehee snap pictures. I was so exhausted i slept all the way from there to the restaurant.
