moonshine

Pictures taken by Katina on my Grandpa's office since he never got in renovated so it still had its vintage touch. I was sick in the pictures so ignore my face .

Does anyone realize that 3 more days and we'll all soon find ourselves back in prison (school) again?Really, there's nothing worse than the feeling of vacation slowly slipping away from our lives once again and reality sliding back again..
My 5 days in Thailand was satisfying i guess i mean im almost quite certain you could fit 3 of our infamous sun plaza in the malls around here. Not to mention the fact that pretty much everything is available and that there are tons of restaurants to choose from. I could say it was quite a challenge as well since MAJORITY of the people there barely spoke any english and you can only imagine the trouble in communication.
"Whats the dish in the picture? Salmon teriyaki or *2 more salmon dish i forgot what its called*?(Mom)
"yes yess! *nods*"

"What are the specialities here?"(dad)
"Hmmmm..no!*shakes head*

"Is this chicken or beef *points at menu*" (Dad)
"okay, okay *nods and writes down 'beef and chicken in their order-taking notes"

Another highlight in Thailand is when we went to this wide range market where all these random things are sold in a cheaper price. Well i was temporarily struck by cupid there when we came across a whole corridor of just irresistable, adorable, furry creatures to the point where i just want to squeeze them all<3 p="p">
But from the look of dad's irritated expression when was surrounded by a bunch of barking beagles, its obvious i wont be taking one home..
I met my mom's aunt when we spent 3 days in KL, and i have to admit thats also where i sort of (okay,   really) got over emotional when we sent her back into the Old Folks Home. The first time i peeked into their windows, my mood sank instantly as i watched 2 frail looking, wrinkly, weak and helpless-looking old men sleeping in their bed. They all look soo alone and depressed not to mention unwanted while i pass by more of them, some just sitting in their beds staring into space as if trying to reminisce back their glory old days, some giving us weak smiles as mom wheeled her aunt along the hallways. To think that these people were once strong, proud, sturdy young men and pretty, cheerful, vain young women who once had children. Who had loved and contributed their everything for them, watched them grow up, fed them advice, acted as a shoulder to cry on. Just to find themselves abandoned and stashed in this dreadful place by the same people they once had brought up and loved. To wake up everyday in this strange place that would immediately remind them of the truth that they're unwanted. Literally in every corner, you could see old people sitting alone looking as helpless as ever, these people honestly looked like they needed someone as company. The Old Folks Home i visited was 3 storey high, and thats not all, there's ANOTHER folks home across the street with MORE people staying at. So before you even begin complaining  about not getting an iPhone5 for christmas or for using an non-iphone/blackberry/samsung phone, be grateful and when you take a dump, make sure to get rid of your shameful thoughts along with your waste.
But yeah, anyway, to skip the details, i ended up tearing up in my mom's arms infront of everyone which is kind of humiliating but eh.
